Jake Daumen has been practicing Chinese medicine in Portland since 2006, and has focused his skills to specialize in auto accident and sports related injuries. His formal training culminated in a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2005 from Five Branches University as well as a certification in Integrative Sports Medicine, a program where he was fortunate to be able to learn the innovative treatment protocol of Muscle Channel Technique (MCT) directly from it's developer Frank He L.Ac. He also completed extra training in Tui Na massage and Medical Qi-Gong, as well as studying with Tui Na master Dr. Jiang at Zhejiang University Hospital in Hangzhou China. Jake always tries to find the best path to health and recovery for each patient individually and utilizes several approaches in his treatments integrating the classical techniques of acupuncture, cupping, auricular therapy and herbal medicine with more modern treatments such as kinesio-taping and electro-stimulation. Patient comfort is also of utmost concern to Jake, as he believes that the patient can connect to the healing process more efficiently in a relaxed state, and he has spent his entire educational and professional career perfecting a free hand needle technique that is smooth and comfortable for the patient.

We are also now offering Deep Tissue Laser Therapy

Our practice is among the first in the area to invest in a Deep Tissue Therapy Laser from LiteCure Medical.

Drug free, pain relief is the goal for individuals suffering from acute or chronic pain. Now we can offer you a non-surgical option that truly has the power to eliminate or significantly reduce your pain. Five to ten brief treatments with this powerful laser is all it takes to realize life changing results. The Deep Tissue Therapy Lasers work by flooding the tissues with photons, energizing the damaged cells and increasing circulation to the painful area. This produces a cascade of healing responses in your body, reducing inflammation, thereby reducing or even eliminating your pain. Treatments take just a few minutes, however the therapeutic effect continues to soothe and heal long after you leave the office.
